Infrastructure organisations operating across the West Midlands deliver vital capacity building advice and support services to the voluntary and community sector and are collectively looking at ways to improve efficiency of delivery. Strong Consortia have been formed inn each county

The purpose of the regional ICT champion is to increase the capacity, availability and quality of local infrastructure ICT support services that are relevant and meet local third sector needs. The role will work with consortia and individual local infrastructure organisations to identify provision of a well co-ordinated and resourced network of ICT services that deliver relevant and affordable hands-on ICT support, training, advice and guidance services.

Pete Read, as the ICT Champion, will be working to champion the strategic importance of well planned ICT.

He will be helping to

• provide resources for infrastructure groups
• advise smaller organisations
• Campaign for funders to assist the strategic development of ICT through coherent funding agendas.
