Visitors to your website who are blind or partially sighted cannot access the content on your website in the same way that a sighted visitor can.
Blind visitors use Screen Readers to access site content. A screen reader reads the site outloud normally in a voice generated by the computer. The screen reader also helps your site visitor to navigate around the site by presenting the menus as links that can be followed. It's also important that any images you display on your website is also available to visitors who cannot see, especially where the image is presenting important information. See the article on Alternate Text for an explanation of how blind site users can access information presented as images.
