Web Client

Where a web server provides web services, such sending web pages to your browser, a web client receives those services and somehow makes them available to you. Server-Client relationships are very common between computer software, especially over the internet.

For example, a very common web client is a browser, or web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari or Chrome. When you use a web browser and type in the address of the site you want to visit, it display the site to you.

In many instances, you substitute the word customer for client. Think of it like this: Your web client negotiates a service from the web server and then displays the result - a web page.

Another web client is email software, like Outlook or Thunderbird.
