Can you make money on the web?

We hear of people getting lots of unearned income from their web sites

By placing ads onto your website, you can get paid each time someone clicks on them. The more people click, the more money you make. To quote a certain meerkat 'Simples'. BUT! I would ask a question? How often do you click on an advertising banner? Do you even read them?

The system relies upon you having a reasonable level of traffic to your site and for the adverts to be relevant to those visitors. They then may click and generate some income.
